Oldforge

Oldforge is a ruined village in the riverlands, a site of destruction during the War of the Five Kings. It is one of the many settlements that suffered in the conflict between House Bracken and House Blackwood, two ancient houses whose feud has lasted for millennia. The village is listed among the lands that Lord Jonos Bracken claimed were stolen from his house by the Blackwoods, and which he demanded be restored to him as recompense for his support of the Lannister cause. When Jaime Lannister negotiated the surrender of Lord Tytos Blackwood at Raventree Hall, Lord Bracken presented a map detailing his territorial demands, which included Oldforge. Lord Tytos, however, was unwilling to part with the village, stating that his forebears were buried beneath its rocks. The village was ultimately not among the lands ceded to Bracken in the final agreement, which instead granted him the lesser prizes of Buckle, Woodhedge, Honeytree, Crossbow Ridge, and Lord's Mill.
